The University of North Carolina Asheville has been recognized with a 2026 Gold Level Award in the Website Redesign category of the dotCOMM Awards for its project, UNC Asheville Website Migration and Redesign: Creating a Unified Digital Experience.

The award recognizes the Communication & Marketing team’s work to redesign and migrate the University’s website to create a more unified and streamlined digital experience for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other audiences.

The award-winning project consolidated approximately 6,000 pages across three competing websites and more than 80 department subdomains into a single, unified home at unca.edu.

The redesign also introduced new ways to tell the UNC Asheville story, including career pathway pages connecting majors to outcomes, expanded showcases of experiential learning opportunities, and student success stories highlighting real student experiences.

"This redesign has been years in the making, and I am so proud of the team effort that went into showing what UNC Asheville is all about,” said David Bradham, UNC Asheville web designer.  “We gathered input from faculty, staff, students, and the entire Bulldog community. Winning gold illustrates all the hard work and talent that went into this project."

The dotCOMM Awards recognize excellence in web creativity and digital communication. The international competition honors outstanding work in website development, digital marketing, social media, video, advertising, and other forms of digital media.

The Gold Level Award adds to a growing list of national and regional honors recognizing the creative, strategic, and collaborative work of UNC Asheville’s Communication & Marketing team.
