Asheville’s first brewery, founded by retired engineer Oscar Wong in the basement of a taproom, may be described as nearly legendary by area residents. In 2015, Leah Wong Ashburn, Oscar’s daughter, stepped into that legend to lead Highland Brewing to its next level of distinction. After a decade of leadership, Leah will share her insights into leading a legacy business, preserving its heritage, and moving forward through changing times.
