Applications Now Open for WORC Grants to Address Workforce Needs

Appalachian Regional Commission has partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration, the Delta Regional Authority and the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) to open applications for the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative.
WORC supports community-driven projects that tackle local workforce and economic development needs in rural Appalachia and other regions.
The initiative considers projects that:
• Address workforce needs of regional employers.
• Help residents obtain or retain family-sustaining employment.
• Strengthen local economies and support long-term community growth.
If your rural community has a vision for strengthening its workforce, submit your application by July 23. Learn more and apply by clicking here.
