First Asheville Business Marketplace Scheduled for Thursday May 28

May 27, 2026 01:13PM ● By WNC Business
Buying or selling a business can seem daunting to many, and a new recurring event aims to make it more approachable. The Asheville Business Marketplace will offer information about the process and an opportunity to meet potential buyers or sellers. The first event takes place on Thursday, March 28, from 5—7 p.m. at Blank Space, 701 Haywood Road, Asheville.

The series will touch on the questions that matter most:
  • What drives business value — and what kills it
  • How deals actually get financed in today's market
  • The biggest mistakes sellers and buyers make (and how to avoid them)
  • What a realistic timeline from "thinking about it" to closing looks like

Stay for non-alcoholic drinks, appetizers, and curated networking with fellow owners, prospective buyers, and the professionals who help deals get done. Whether you're months or years away from a transaction, the relationships you build in this room are the ones you'll lean on when it's time.

Who should attend:

  • Business owners considering a future sale, succession, or transition
  • Entrepreneurs and searchers actively looking to acquire a business
  • Anyone curious about what their business is worth or what it takes to buy one

The lineup:

Sponsored by Mountain BizWorks, featuring the Business Buyer Accelerator program. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by clicking here.
