Alex Castillo is the new Regional Planner at the High Country Council of Governments. Graduating from Appalachian State's MPA program in 2025, Castillo brings experience from multiple non-profits that serve the High Country. Originating from Southern California, Castillo has lived in Boone for 7 years and is excited to serve the region in their new role.
