AdventHealth Hendersonville is pleased to welcome Jasmeet Kataria-Hale, MD, FAAP, a board-certified neonatologist, as Medical Director and Chief Neonatologist for the Level II NICU – Special Care Nursery at The Baby Place.

Dr. Kataria-Hale brings extensive experience in neonatal-perinatal medicine, with clinical expertise spanning Level III and IV neonatal intensive care units and academic appointments in pediatric medicine. She is board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and general pediatrics and has trained at leading institutions including Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Michigan.

Dr. Kataria-Hale previously served as a consultant on the NICU project, offering clinical expertise to help guide the development and design of the unit and expand access to advanced neonatal care for our community. In her role, Dr. Kataria-Hale will lead the Level II NICU team, providing specialized care for infants born prematurely or those requiring immediate medical support after birth. Her approach emphasizes evidence-based medicine, clear communication and shared decision-making to ensure families feel informed and supported throughout their child’s care.

Dr. Kataria-Hale’s care philosophy centers on compassionate, patient-focused medicine that considers the needs of the entire family. She is passionate about building trust with patients and colleagues and creating an environment where individuals feel heard, respected and supported.

Her clinical and research background includes work focused on improving outcomes for neonates with complex medical conditions, including congenital heart disease and neonatal nutrition. She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and national presentations addressing neonatal care quality and innovation.
