Workshop Details:

Morning Session - 10:00 am - 11:45 am (refreshments at 9:30 am)

Promoting Resilience: Emotional Safety Plans

Emotional Safety Plans are personalized guides that help someone navigate moments of emotional distress, anxiety, or overwhelm. They act like a “mental first-aid kit,” offering clear steps, reminders, and resources to restore a sense of calm and control. The Center for Trauma-Resilient Communities will lead a session where you can build a plan for yourself and your organization to use.

Lunch Session - 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

AMY Funders Summit

Join us for a conversation with a panel of dedicated local funders working with organizations who support Avery-Mitchell-Yancey (AMY) counties. It’s an opportunity to meet the funders, ask questions, and explore how funders and nonprofits can further collaborate as we all move forward together.

Afternoon Session - 1:45 pm - 2:30 pm (with snacks)

Open Discussion: Low-Cost Benefits for Nonprofits

Sally Loftis, AMY Regional Organization for WNC Nonprofit Pathways, will host an informal session where nonprofits can discuss what benefits they are offering now and share resources with each other. Specifically, be ready to share how you are dealing with health insurance as a small employer.
