"Better Together" Brings Women's Business Communities Concurrently on March 10

A new event will gather members of the women’s business community in Western North Carolina for an evening of sharing and support.
Better Together is said to be the first-ever collaborative event bringing together more than 10 women’s business communities across the area. Rather than competing for the same audience, the coordinators hopes this gathering will give every woman building a business in the region a chance to see how much support she has available to her.
The event is organized by Hive Ambition and is an informal social event designed for connection. There will be no panels or pitches, just a time for business women to talk about what is happening in their business worlds.
“This event is really about making sure every woman building a business in WNC knows just how much support is out there for her,” said event co-founder Rachel Africh of Hive Ambition.
“In the last couple of years, the number of groups supporting women in business around WNC has exploded, but most of our members don’t even know the other groups exist. We’re all building these powerful communities in parallel, and we think there’s real magic in finally bringing them together.”
Better Together is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at The Mule in Asheville. It is a free event open to all women in business.
WNC Business, a division of Hulsey Media, will serve as one of the media sponsors for the event.

“We firmly believe that community is the best business plan there is. We’re also big advocates for community over competition,” said event co-founder Ashley Sterken, also of Hive Ambition. “We’re so excited to bring everyone together for one night to help foster a greater sense of community for all the women building businesses in Western North Carolina. Building a business can be a lonely journey, but we hope to prove with this event that it doesn’t have to be.”
Africh and Sterken have announced several featured communities that will be a part of the event, including Hive Ambition, AVL Digital Nomads, AVL Beauty Boost, She Owns It, Woman Strong, Empowerment Collective, WomanUp of Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Ladies Lifestyle Network, The Unofficial Connection Hub, and Power of Women.
