New ENT Specialist at AdventHealth Brings Advanced Head and Neck Care to the Community

AdventHealth is pleased to welcome Leonardo Gonzalez-Parrilla, MD, a board-eligible otolaryngologist specializing in ear, nose and throat care, to its growing network of specialty physicians. He is welcoming new patients to AdventHealth Medical Group Ear, Nose and Throat at Hendersonville.
Dr. Gonzalez-Parrilla provides comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck. He combines advanced surgical training with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. His clinical interests include head and neck surgery; facial reconstruction and evidence-based treatment options tailored to each individual’s needs.

cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed his
otolaryngology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as chief resident
during his final year. He has passed both the written and oral components of the American
Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery examinations and is board-eligible.
Dr. Gonzalez-Parrilla has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed research publications and
national presentations focused on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is also
committed to service, volunteering as a surgical resident with the Global Smile Foundation to
provide care for underserved populations abroad.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Gonzalez-Parrilla values clear communication and
partnership with patients and families. He is dedicated to AdventHealth’s whole-person carephilosophy, addressing physical needs while supporting emotional and spiritual well-being.
Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Gonzalez-Parrilla enjoys drumming, staying active through
sports and hiking and continuing his love of languages. He also has a passion for physics andtravel, interests that reflect his curiosity and lifelong commitment to learning.
