Henderson County United Way Welcomes New Board Members

United Way Henderson County has been serving the residents of Henderson County since 1953. Throughout this time, the leadership of the Board of Directors has been instrumental in shaping the work and successes of the organization. From providing oversight of the governance and accountability of the organization, to providing committee leadership and resource support, the board is critical to operations.
“It is an honor to serve on the Board of Directors of such an impactful local organization,” said Board of Directors Chair Amy Lynn Holt. “I enjoy leading alongside such a strong and committed local Board and am proud of the impact that we are helping to create throughout Henderson County.”
The 2026 incoming board members will serve three-year terms and join the current 16 members of the Board of Directors. The new board members include:
- Brian Cavagnini, Cummins/Meritor, Inc. (retired)
- Damian Chipriano, Carilion Clinic
- Christine Dudas, Howard Hanna Mortgage Services
- Kenett Melgar, Blue Ridge Health
- Laura C. Mukosiej, Edward Jones
- Claire Neal, MANNA FoodBank (non-voting one-year partner agency representative)
“Henderson County United Way embodies neighbors helping neighbors throughout all of our work,” said Kat Carlton, UWHC Executive Director. “We are grateful for the guidance and governance that we receive from our local volunteer Board of Directors and are excited for the impact that we will create together in 2026.”
