A brewery with two local locations has announced it will close at the end of the year.

Terra Nova Beer Co. made the announcement, posting a letter on Facebook addressed to its Asheville and Swannanoa communities. 

"it is with heavy hearts that we announce the upcoming closure of Terra Nova Beer Co. We plan to keep serving beer through the end of the year," the letter stated. "This decision was not made lightly. Despite the dedication of our exceptional team and the incredible support we’ve received from you, we’ve faced challenges that make it no longer sustainable for us to keep our doors open."

The letter stated that the kitchen in Swannanoa will soon be closed and food trucks will be on hand in December. A schedule will soon be posted "as we continue to do everything we can to serve the wonderful people of WNC until our doors close for good."

The letter stated, "We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us as well as to our staff who rode this rollercoaster with us to the end. If you are a business owner and are looking for top-tier bartenders to serve your customers, please reach out to us, and we can connect you with a member of our staff. We still have plenty of delicious brews in our inventory, so come and enjoy Terra Nova beer while you still can, and keep an eye out for specials."

 

Terra Nova Beer Co. has locations at 101 S. Lexington Ave. in Asheville and 204 Whitson Ave. in Swannanoa.
