With more than 25 years in higher education, Dr. Laura B. Leatherwood has led Blue Ridge Community College as president since 2017, overseeing three campuses and 11,500+ students. 

Dr. Leatherwood was named the 2022 NC Community College President of the Year and she is a passionate advocate for higher education who serves on nonprofit boards, advancing economic development and community growth.
