The North Carolina Employee Ownership Center (NCEOC) and The Industrial Commons will host a book signing and panel discussion with author John Abrams on Tuesday, October 21, at the Center for Craft in Asheville. Abrams, author of the new book From Founder to Future, will be interviewed about his book and experience as a business owner selling his company to his employees. Afterwards, he will be joined by Todd Kindberg, founder and worker-owner at Equinox Woodworks, a worker cooperative, and Tamera Edwards, Human Resources Director at M.B. Haynes Corporation, a 100% ESOP, for a panel discussion and Q&A.

The event, starting at 4 p.m., is a resource for business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees interested in succession planning and employee ownership. The benefits of employee ownership include preserving the legacy of the founder, increased employee engagement and jobs that stay rooted in the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to have their copies of From Founder to Future signed by Abrams and network with business leaders from across the region.
