Dr. Sheedy earned his doctorate in podiatric medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, TX.

Dr. Sheedy's care philosophy emphasizes empathy and active listening to connect with patients personally and empower them to take control of their health outcomes. “I try to empathize with my patients,” he says. “If someone is in my office it means they want to get better. Often the most effective thing I can do for that patient is reach them on a personal level and try to get them to recognize the agency that they have over the outcome of their care.”

Dr. Sheedy’s decision to join AdventHealth was inspired by the positive feedback he consistently received from patients who experienced care through AdventHealth, as well as his own professional interactions with our providers. “I appreciate the nonprofit, patient-first health care model,” Dr. Sheedy shares. “Everyone I’ve met at AdventHealth Hendersonville is so positive about their experience working here. I’m excited to develop new professional relationships in a multispecialty setting with a group of people who truly enjoy coming to work and what that means for my patient care.”

Dr. Sheedy’s specialized expertise includes advanced surgical treatments for the foot and ankle and lower extremity peripheral nerve surgery. “I genuinely care about my patients’ well-being and couldn’t be more excited to join a community of health care professionals practicing whole-person health care,” he says.

Originally from Round Rock, Texas, Dr. Sheedy and his wife chose Western North Carolina as their home in 2016. Outside of work, Dr. Sheedy feels most whole when he is hiking, backpacking and spending time with his family.
