Carolina Village is proud to announce that Sissy Rogers has been elected to its volunteer Board of Directors. She began her term on Aug. 26.
Rogers is Vice President, Human Resources at SELEE Corporation, where she has been employed since 2008. In addition to manufacturing, she also has human resources expertise in the healthcare and hospitality industries. She holds a graduate degree in Human Resource Development from Western Carolina University. In August of 2024, she completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University Law School.
Rogers serves on the Executive Committee of the Girls EMpowered (GEM) mentorship program for local fifth- and eighth-grade girls through United Way. She is also Vice President of the IAM Board of Directors and serving her second term on the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board.
She and her husband, Brad, have two adult children and two grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and spending time on the New River.
“Joining the Carolina Village board feels like an extension of what I love most about my work - helping people feel seen, heard, and cared for,” said Rogers. “I’m excited to bring my HR experience to a place where relationships, compassion, and quality of life are at the heart of everything we do.”
“Our board is committed to enriching the lives of Carolina Village residents and staff,” said Trina Stokes, board president, “building on our strong 51-year foundation of doing the same. Welcoming Sissy means adding not only expertise, but also a heart for service and genuine care for people. We couldn’t be more excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.”
