23 Local Businesses Support Successful Henderson County Chamber Golf Tournament

The Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosted its annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, June 4th at the Hendersonville Country Club. The weather was sunny with temperatures in the mid to high 70’s, creating perfect conditions for a day of golf. This year's event was presented by First Citizens Bank and Edward Jones - Ken Adams. Following the tournament, participants enjoyed a social  gathering at the Clubhouse, sponsored by AgSouth Farm Credit and Oliver Properties. 

Twenty six teams participated and 23 local businesses sponsored holes throughout the greens: Advantage Golf & Learning Center, AdventHealth Hendersonville, ALLCHOICE Insurance, Baabals Ice Cream, Boy Automotive, Casablanca Tobacconist, Champion Credit Union, Current, Dan Gilbert Insurance, Chef Blue, GFL Environmental, Henderson Oil, Horizon Heating & Air, Industrial Chemical Company, Kimberly Clark Corporation, Morrow Insurance, Noble Pest Solutions, Paul Davis Restoration, Republic Services, Southern Alarm, Southern Quality Company, State Farm Insurance – Skip Sawyer, and State Farm Insurance – Tabatha Hamlin.  

GFL Environmental swung their way to victory with the Low Gross win. In the Net Score category, State Farm Insurance – Tabatha Hamlin clinched 1st place, Chef Blue followed closely behind in 2nd, and Oliver Properties rounded out the top three. There were two individual players who shot closest to the pin – Jason Tech (Advantage Golf & Learning  Center) and Lee Arrington (AgSouth Farm Credit). 

The golf tournament serves as a crucial fundraiser for the workforce and education division, with all proceeds benefiting programs such as the Junior Leaders Program, Apprenticeship Blue Ridge, New Teacher Breakfast, Teacher of the Year Reception, NC Scholars, and Trivia.
