The Center for Honeybee Research to Commemorate Oscar Wong, Founder of Highland Brewing, at its Fourth Annual HoneyFest

The Center for Honeybee Research will host its fourth annual “Asheville HoneyFest,” which takes place June 8, 2025, from noon to 6 p.m. at Highland Brewing.

This year, the Center for Honeybee Research is dedicating the theme of its HoneyFest In honor of Highland Brewing’s founder, Oscar Wong, who generously enabled the Center to continue to hold its annual event despite the loss of its former venue, Asheville Salvage Station.

Without the availability of Highland Brewing’s event center and grounds, The HoneyFest would have been among the casualties resulting from Hurricane Helene. Fortunately, the more than 3,000 people who attended the event in recent years now have a place to celebrate and support the efforts of the Center for Honeybee Research.

Additionally, Sun Soo Martial Arts will provide attendees with ample parking space by offering a shuttle service from its parking lot at 800 Fairview Road to the HoneyFest at Highland Brewing from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. throughout the day.
