The programs selected for the 2024-2045 academic year include: Automotive Systems Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology, Computer-Integrated Machining, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Electrical Systems Technology, Industrial Systems, Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Administration, and Welding Technology.
The HCC PIVOT scholarship will pay towards tuition, fees, books, and supplies for students meeting qualifying criteria such as enrolling in a minimum of six credit hours, completing the FAFSA and HCC Scholarship applications and meeting with a career planner. Students must also maintain academic standards during their time at HCC with GPA and other qualifiers.
The scholarship, like all scholarships, provides funding that might not be covered by federal financial aid programs. HCC scholarships will cover any remaining balances after federal funds have been applied to their student account making the goal of attending college with no out-of-pocket expenses attainable.
College President, Dr. Shelley White shares “Preparing skilled workers in high-demand fields is essential for our region’s economy. The Pivot Scholarship will help open new doors to these opportunities leading to growing careers.”
Scholarships should be submitted by the end of July. Fall registration is currently open.
