The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill one position on the Haywood Community College Board of Trustees, to begin serving a four-year term beginning July 1, 2023.

The Haywood Community College Board of Trustees is responsible for the development and governance of the college in accordance with the provisions of the law and the policies of the State Board of Community Colleges. The HCC Board of Trustees meet the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm at the HCC campus. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 28 at 5:00 PM.

The Volunteer Board Applicant Form may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the county website here or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.  

Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Amy Stevens, Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at [email protected].
