Applying for Disaster Relief Grants: An Overview of Government and Private Foundation Opportunities

Dogwood Health Trust offers its Next-Level Funding Webinar Series

Please join us on Wednesday, December 18, for "Applying for Disaster Relief Grants: An Overview of Government and Private Foundation Opportunities." This session, coordinated by Innovative Funding Partners (IFP) for Dogwood Health Trust, aims to provide organizations with key information about the disaster relief grant funding landscape. By outlining specific active and anticipated grant opportunities, IFP seeks to position WNC organizations to obtain the funding and loans that can help them rebuild and meet community needs. During this difficult time, this session offers guidance on ways to select, prepare for and pursue grant opportunities in the coming year.

Attendees will gain familiarity with the standard programs through which the federal government appropriates disaster relief funding and how to assess eligibility. Foundation opportunities will also be outlined. IFP will explain key considerations for developing a strong disaster relief grant proposal, including describing methodology and projecting measurable outcomes. Finally, best practices in managing proposal development when time is short and energy low, will be explored.

Participants will gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in:

  • Developing familiarity with government disaster relief grant opportunities
  • Developing familiarity with foundation disaster relief grant opportunities
  • Key considerations in crafting a strong disaster relief grant proposal
  • Best practices for managing the proposal process during challenging times
