NeckWise, an upper cervical chiropractic organization headquartered in Florida, has acquired Western Carolina Chiropractic in Asheville, North Carolina. The acquisition marks another milestone in NeckWise's expansion across the United States and brings additional resources, technology, and operational support to an established Asheville chiropractic practice.
Founded in 2024 by Dr. Matt Morris, Dr. Andrew (Drew) Hall, and Dr. Rusty Lavender, NeckWise has expanded into multiple markets across Florida and Utah. The organization's entry into Asheville represents its continued commitment to growing a network of offices focused on upper cervical chiropractic care.
Western Carolina Chiropractic has served patients throughout Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina communities under the leadership of Dr. Michael DiNunzio. As part of the acquisition, Dr. DiNunzio will remain with the practice, helping provide continuity for existing patients while introducing NeckWise's clinical systems, technology, and patient experience standards.
"One of the things that attracted us to Asheville was the opportunity to build on an established practice with a doctor who already has relationships in the community," said Dr. Matt Morris, co-founder of NeckWise. "Our goal isn't simply to open more offices. We want to build great practices with great doctors and provide patients with an exceptional experience."
The transition will allow the Asheville practice to benefit from NeckWise's administrative infrastructure, ongoing professional training, patient education resources, and standardized operational systems.
A significant component of NeckWise's plans for Asheville is the introduction of in-office 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging technology. Unlike conventional two-dimensional X-rays, CBCT technology produces detailed three-dimensional images of bony structures, allowing doctors to examine the anatomy of the upper cervical spine from multiple perspectives. NeckWise utilizes CBCT imaging as part of its upper cervical chiropractic analysis when clinically indicated. The technology can provide additional anatomical information about the atlas (C1), axis (C2), and surrounding structures at the junction between the head and neck. "Our approach to upper cervical chiropractic is centered on precision and individualized analysis," said Dr. Andrew Hall, co-founder of NeckWise. "Three-dimensional imaging gives us another way to evaluate the unique anatomy of each patient and make more informed clinical decisions."
