Nov 20, 2024 09:23AM ● By WNC Business

ASHEVILLE – Mission Health announced the new South Asheville ER is now open at 2512 Hendersonville Road in Arden. A campus of Mission Hospital, the 11,000-square-foot emergency room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, 11 exam rooms, an on-site laboratory and diagnostic imaging services including CT and X-ray.

Board-certified emergency physicians and specially-trained nurses will be able to treat many conditions ranging from broken bones to chest pain to serious infections. Among other services, South Asheville ER will also allow EMS partners a place for critical patients to be stabilized before transport to an inpatient hospital. The facility is licensed by the State of North Carolina and provides south Asheville residents and visitors another option to be seen and treated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Emergency Departments across the country and locally have seen an influx of patients who are sadly experiencing longer wait times. Mission Hospital aims to help in meeting the larger demand for emergency services with this additional location.
