Sarah Cosgrove Named Advocacy & Community Engagement Director at Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Sarah Cosgrove, an area leader on housing issues, has joined the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains as Advocacy and Community Engagement Director. 

In the new role, Cosgrove will work with builders, area governments, like-minded professionals, and nonprofit organizations to facilitate projects that address Western North Carolina’s housing crisis.This will involve everything from working with local governments on zoning rule changes to deepening relationships with nonprofits that address affordability and sustainability. 

Cosgrove has been involved in area housing issues on several levels. She previously served as chair of BABRM’s government relations committee, and is also on the City of Hendersonville’s Affordable Housing Steering Committee, which is exploring ways to address the city’s affordability challenges. 

Prior to joining the Builders Association, Cosgrove ran day-to-day operations in her role as co-owner of Grove Manor Flooring in Flat Rock. She will ease out of her business, which is now run by Steve Cosgrove.
