Asheville Entrepreneur Week is Coming Soon

Venture Asheville is the high-growth entrepreneurship initiative of the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce. It's annual Asheville Entrepreneurship Week encourages citizens to celebrate the area's creators and innovators.

During September 9 through 13, 2024, a variety of events will be held around the Asheville area with the theme of celebrating and supporting entrepreneurs. Here are some details:

Mad Genius Studios will be hosting an entire week of events. Each panel is followed by a happy hour. While that gets added to the official web page, here's the preview: 

Every day, there will be a women entrepreneurs panel from 4:00 to 5:00 PM followed by a happy hour from 5:00 to 6:00 PM to celebrate Asheville Entrepreneur Week. Stay tuned for details.
  • The panels will be MC’d by the Chief Mad Genius Officer, Shawndra Russell.
    • Monday Panel, Leadership & Entrepreneurship:
      • Co-MC’d by Sabrina Delk, Director Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Mars Hill featuring Dr. Susan Muntean, Hatch Innovation Board member; Tracy Eames of Teames & Co., and Jami Daniels, owner of Ernest and Brightbell Communications.
      • LOCATION: Ernest Co-Warehousing, 135 Sweeten Creek Road
    • Tuesday Panel, Financial Resources:
      • Jennifer King, Sr. SBA Business Development Officer at First Community Bank; Tara Brown, Director of Community Engagement for Western NC at Self-Help Credit Union; and Yaselin Gonzalez, Senior Small Business Lender at Mountain BizWorks.
      • LOCATION: Mad Genius Studios
    • Wednesday Panel, Remote Women in Business  
      • MC’d by Cera Schrems, Account Executive at ISA AVL and AVL Digital Nomads Co-Working Leader and will feature Kimi McBurney, American Eagle Home Inspection, Andi of Big Sea Design, Holly McCann of Grail Leadership, and Shellie Bel.
