Celebrate Healthy Aging Month at Healthy Aging Day
Aug 08, 2024 09:45AM ● By WNC BusinessASHEVILLE — Join the YMCA of Western North Carolina to celebrate Healthy Aging Month at Healthy Aging Day on September 5.
The free event at the Reuter Family YMCA in Biltmore Park will feature group exercise classes, pickleball, informative lectures, free health screenings, and vendor booths.
“You are never too old or too young to participate in activities that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being,” said Tim Blenco, chief operating officer at the YMCA of WNC. “If you need help, support, or just a place to get started, community-based organizations like the Y provide the needed guidance to help older adults age well.”
Healthy Aging Day takes place Thursday, September 5 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reuter Family YMCA in Biltmore Park. The event is presented by Hopscotch Primary Care.
