HENDERSONVILLE –  The nursing program faculty at Blue Ridge Community College received the official letter from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing granting the program initial accreditation status. According to the commission, this achievement proves that a nursing program has a clear and appropriate educational pathway, and demonstrates a commitment to positive outcomes in public health.

With accreditation, graduates of the Blue Ridge nursing program experience ease of credit transfer when pursuing advanced degrees in nursing education. The process, which ensures high quality education, is quickly becoming a standard expectation for nursing programs across the nation.
