ASHEVILLE – Asheville-based architecture firm Rowhouse Architects announces the promotion of architect Shawn McKeever to firm partner.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, McKeever received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Clemson University in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He says he’s known since career day in fourth grade that he wanted to be an architect.

McKeever joined the team at Rowhouse in April of 2017 after working as a project architect at various other firms for several years. His first completed project with Rowhouse was Givens Gerber Park, a North Carolina Housing Finance Agency affordable housing project for seniors located in south Asheville. Since then, he has served as Rowhouse’s Director of Construction and QC since 2020 and was instrumental in the completion of the Radical Hotel, Zelda Dearest, The Broadway Townhomes, Beacham’s Curve, and the soon-to-be-completed Flatiron Hotel.

In his new partner role with the firm, McKeever will continue to serve as Director of Construction, while also developing and advancing the implementation of building technology in the firm’s work and ensuring best practices in design and management of projects.
