Chamber event encourages small business support

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will hold its third “Friends Night Out,” event from 12:00 to 6:30 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at participating Jackson County chamber member businesses.
The event is intended to create an economic impact on the area and encourage sales on an evening during a traditionally slower time of the year.
"Friends” simply shop at any participating chamber member retailer or food and beverage provider between the hours of 12:00 and 6:30 PM on Thursday, March 28 and purchase $25 or more at that business or at multiple businesses total. Then, "friends" bring their receipt(s) by the chamber at 773 West Main Street in Sylva and register. There is no other cost to participate. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., there will be events happening on the Chamber lawn, including a chance to meet the event sponsor, Current Dermatology. Friends must be present by 6:30 PM to win.
Most stores will have special promotions, sales and perhaps even some surprise treats.

“At 6:45 PM, we’ll do a drawing from those who registered and one lucky participant will win a shopping and dining frenzy worth over $550,” said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Assistant Director Kelly Donaldson. “The frenzy includes many gift certificates donated by our participating merchants and restaurants. We will also draw for 1 of 25 branded gift boxes, courtesy of our sponsor, Current Dermatology.”

“There is no charge to attend so please come and take advantage of some awesome deals, enjoy dinner at a fun place, and make some memories with your friends and family,” said Chamber Office Manager Belinda Bryson. "Plus, you are supporting our local businesses."
Martha's Place will be hosting an "after party."
