It's time to shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements and contributions businesses and leaders are making in our community.

We invite you to submit your organization's application for the Sky High Awards and to nominate a business or individual who deserves recognition for their contributions.

Nominations are due March 31 for Small Business Leader of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Sky High Awards, and PROpel AVL Young Professionals awards. (Self-nominations accepted for some awards.) 

Sky High Awards

Nominate your business for a Sky High Award recognizing business success. All Asheville Chamber members who have been in business for at least three years are invited to apply - including past winners. Honorees are companies creating jobs, fostering growth or contributing to our local economy through innovation and community involvement. Winners will be honored at the Sky High Growth Awards Reception in May sponsored by Park National Bank. Self-nominations encouraged.

Small Business Leader of the Year
Who do you think shines as a small business leader? Your boss? Your friend? The owner of your favorite local business?

Sponsored by HomeTrust Bank, Small Business Leader of the Year awards recognize two individuals who clearly reflect quality and dedication to the operation of business in the Asheville area and provide leadership accomplishments including innovation, initiative and civic responsiveness. Awards presented at the Chamber's Annual Meeting in June.

The Family Business of the Year Award
Sponsored by the UNC Asheville Family Business Forum, the Family Business of the Year award recognizes a family-owned business for their contributions to the community and success as a family-owned enterprise. Award presented at the Chamber's Annual Meeting in June. Self-nominations encouraged.

PROpel AVL Awards
The new PROpel AVL Awards honor young professionals who have distinguished themselves in their profession or as leaders along with individuals who serve as mentors to young professionals in our community. Awards include Community/Public Service, Trailblazer (for outstanding leadership), Innovation and Mentor. Winners will be honored at the PROpel AVL Awards Celebration in May sponsored by Duke Energy with awards sponsored by Western Carolina University, A-B Tech, First Bank and TruPoint Bank. Self-nominations accepted.
