Nominations now open for Venture Asheville Honors

The Venture 15 and Venture Asheville Honors is an annual award show ranking the fastest growing startups and honoring the people and organizations in the ecosystem.
This event recognizing the area’s outstanding entrepreneurs, and serves as an elite setting where they can share their talent and wisdom as well as offer inspiration to other fledgling companies to be part of this exclusive group. Startups are measured by their Compounded Annual Growth Rate, using year-end revenues. Full details, requirements, and eligibility can be found at VentureAsheville.com/Venture15.
Nominations for the 2023 Venture Asheville Honors:
Mentor of the Year - who is, or has, impacted a high-growth venture to an exceptional degree?
These are individuals actively participating in any of the facilitated mentorship programs from the area who have gone above and beyond what is required of mentors. This award goes to an individual who exceeds expectations, is an ally, advocate, and adviser to startups in a purely volunteer capacity.
Investor of the Year - more than cash value, these are investors who do more than cut a check and wait for a return. Not the most active investor in terms of amount funded in the last year, but to an investor who becomes an asset to the startup in terms of funding, guidance, board service, or mentorship.
Entrepreneur of the Year - A founder leading a skyrocketing high-growth venture who not only is making it rain, but also is a community leader.
This award goes to an individual founder who leads a growing startup and adds value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem either through mentorship, volunteering, progressive advocacy, community involvement, or other examples of entrepreneurial leadership. Note - this is an award for high-growth startup founders. For earlier-stage entrepreneurs or early-stage ventures, consider nominating someone for a Shining Rock Award.
ESO of the Year - (entrepreneur support organization) - Which program or organization is producing the highest potential high growth ventures, offering incredible support, or helping the entire ecosystem in an exceptional way?
The Shining Rock Award - Who deserves the recognition and elevated status the award brings to one day be the entrepreneur of the year?
This award honors a tenacious and resilient entrepreneur in the community, one who may be going through ups-and-downs but should stick with it, not quit, and keep on striving!
These awards will be determined by open nomination and committee selection. DEADLINE TO NOMINATE is November 30, 2022.

This can also be considered a Company Culture award. Arguably the best culture would be the best place to work. Venture Asheville looks at a host of qualitative and quantitative metrics to determine the winning startup.

This event is open to the public. Tickets are $40 per person, $190 for a reserved cocktail table (5 tickets included) or $300 for reserved seated table (8 tickets included). Table quantities are limited so don't wait to reserve your space! (Ticket price includes entry to the event, one drink and light food.)
Doors open at 6:30 PM, event kicks off at 7:00 PM.
