WEAVERVILLE — Collab Coworking announces three new networking events for the local business community — Coffee & Cards, Lunch & Learn, and After Hours Wine-Down.

Coffee & Cards is a drop-in networking event for individuals in any level of business to stop in, enjoy a complementary cup of coffee, and share business cards with others in the community. This event takes place from 8:00 - 9:00 AM the first Wednesday of every month, starting October 4.

Lunch & Learns will feature an expert speaker on a variety of topics which change from month to month. The first speaker will be Brittany Bettini of I Need A VA, The Main Event, and Bettini Enterprises, and she will be sharing how virtual assistants can help business owners make more money and work less time while growing their business. These events are B.Y.O.L. (bring your own lunch) and will take place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the third Tuesday of each month, starting October 17.

After Hours Wine-Down is a social happy hour during which members of the area business community are invited to come hang out, celebrate their wins, and rub shoulders while sipping wine and enjoying light snacks. This event takes place every second Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, starting October 12.

“If it’s all about who you know in the business world, it would be great to have more opportunities to get to know others in that world,” said Randee Brown, Co-owner of Collab Coworking. “We are expanding networking opportunities north of Asheville, and by doing so, we hope to encourage the success of the small and growing businesses that are here.”

Collab Coworking exists to serve the community north of Downtown Asheville by providing a quiet, cozy, and collaborative place for remote workers and digital nomads to get their best work done while reducing social isolation for these community members. A variety of membership levels, including private office spaces, are available now. Collab’s events are free and open to everyone in the community.

“Coworking spaces are growing in popularity for a reason,” Co-owner Lyndsey Simpson said. “Many people who have been working from home are ready to get out of the house, and need a place to work that is not a coffee shop.”
