BREVARD —  Inc. revealed Brevard, NC-based SylvanSport has been named to its annual Inc. 5000 list, the ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The list represents a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy's most dynamic segment — its independent businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

The companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 have not only been successful, but have also demonstrated resilience amid a myriad of business challenges. Among the top 500, the average median three-year revenue growth rate soared to 2,144 percent. Together, those companies added more than 68,394 jobs over the past three years.

SylvanSport ranks at 1,554 on the 2023 Inc. 5000, but even more notable is SylvanSport ranks 97th in the consumer products category in this ranking. This ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the industry.

"It is an honor to receive this ranking, recognizing the incredible work and perseverance of the SylvanSport team who navigated the company past the supply chain challenges of the pandemic into an environment of unprecedented demand for our product. It’s a testament to the employees and our rapidly growing SylvanSport community who continue to be our biggest champions. The introduction of SylvanSport gear and innovative new products such as the SylvanSport VAST has ignited this growth and we look forward to continuing industry leadership through innovation,” commented Tom Dempsey, founder and CEO of SylvanSport.

The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 1,187,266 jobs to the economy over the past three years with SylvanSport continuing to create employment opportunities in Western North Carolina.
