May 22, 2023 11:38AM ● By WNC Business
FLAT ROCK – Four Seasons has been once again selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. With over 43 years of experience, Four Seasons is an award-winning, nationally recognized non-profit organization providing Care Navigation, Home Care, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, and Grief Services to thirteen counties of Western North Carolina. Four Seasons received Best Places to Work in 2021, and did not participate in the survey in 2022.

“An uncertain economy, staffing shortages and increasing demands for flexibility and remote work opportunities are forcing every business in the industry to focus on attracting and retaining talent in unprecedented ways," said Dan Peres, president of Modern Healthcare. "The 2023 Best Places to Work winners proved the value of understanding what employees want — and need — today. The healthcare industry is going through a period of extraordinary change. Having the right people in place is more critical than ever, and the winning workplaces understand that taking care of employees is central to business success.”

“At Four Seasons, we truly believe in co-creating the most trusted care possible. In order to do this, we must support each other every day. Four Seasons was founded in 1979 by passionate, dedicated, and driven individuals and that same level of commitment extends to today. Our tremendous team of professionals, throughout the 13 counties we serve, genuinely care about each other, those we serve, and our community as a whole. The acknowledgement of being a Best Place to Work once again demonstrates our commitment to making progress, caring for others, and seeking ways to positively impact lives each and every day. We are so grateful for this recognition and for our tremendous Four Seasons Team!” says Four Seasons President & CEO, Dr. Millicent Burke-Sinclair, Ed.D, MBA, MLAS, SPHR®, SHRM SCP.

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with Workforce Research Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

“We are honored to be recognized as a Best Place to Work for another year, and we are grateful to our staff & leaders for being the reason why. From the curvy roads of Macon County, behind the cash register at one of our Home Stores, to the bedside of patients at Elizabeth House, and everywhere in between – we have the absolute best people across every corner of our organization. They share their feedback openly to help make us better. They strive to learn and better themselves. They cheer on their teammates on the good days and the bad. They live our values and are dedicated to our mission. The work we do is hard. Our standards of Excellence are high. But if you wear a Four Seasons badge, it is a guarantee that You are on a team of the most talented, high performing, caring individuals and you are valued, says Four Seasons Vice President of Employee & Volunteer Solutions.

The complete list of this year’s winners, in alphabetical order, is available from Modern Healthcare’s website. Modern Healthcare will publish a special supplement featuring a ranked list of all the winners along with the October 2, 2023, issue of MH magazine.
