The Jump Off Rock Half Marathon presented by Hunter Subaru & 10K presented by Pardee UNC Health Care are returning for its 3nd annual race on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. Runners will get the chance to take in the breathtaking beauty of Hendersonville’s downtown area while participating in a downhill course that promises to be fast and exciting. 

The half marathon course starts at the top of Jump off Rock, a national landmark located at Laurel Park’s highest peak. The 10k course begins at the Hendersonville Y and both finish on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, NC. Courses are USATF Sanctioned and Certified, runners can expect chip-timing as well as live results. 

To sweeten the deal even more the race offers various goodies for registered runners including a dri-fit technical running shirt, a Hunter Subaru goody bag, free shuttle ticket, unique finisher medal that SPINS and complimentary beer from Oklawaha Brewing Company. Massages will also be available post race courtesy of YAM. There are cash prizes available for the overall top three male and female winners at the 10K race so everyone has something to look forward to! 

Four local nonprofits – The Hendersonville YMCA, Blue Ridge Humane Society, Friends of Laurel Park and iDream Athletes Foundation – will benefit from this event so it’s sure to be an occasion full of good vibes all around! Runners have been raving over this event with comments like “most beautiful half marathon ever!” And we can guarantee that this year’s edition won’t disappoint!
