HENDERSONVILLE – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to welcome Constance (Connie) Stec, H(ASCP) to her new role as Director of its Laboratory. Stec most recently served as Laboratory Operations Supervisor at AdventHealth Hendersonville. Stec is an experienced laboratory scientist, with 11 years in health care management focused on operations and process improvements.

Stec’s career in the medical field started as a Medical Laboratory Specialist in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Stec earned her bachelor’s degree in Information Systems & Healthcare Administration from the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. She went on to complete her Advanced Certificate in Lab Management from the Lab Management University.

Stec has more than 36 years of lab experience and has worked in every area of the lab. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative environment where team members' voices are heard, and patients receive whole-person care.

“I am here because I care about our patients and coworkers,” Stec shares, “I want to help
people be the best that they can be. Either through healing or education. That is where my happiness comes from. Solving problems, breaking down barriers, and being the bridge between the lab and the other clinical teams.”

“We are so excited to have Connie move into this new leadership role for our Laboratory and our hospital,” shared Brandon Nudd, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “Connie is the latest example of how our Team Member Promises help align talented health care team members with opportunities that support their personal and career goals. It is such a privilege to invest in team members like Connie as they achieve their goals.”

Stec is looking forward to her new leadership role in the Laboratory Services at AdventHealth Hendersonville. When she is not helping her team feel whole at work, she spends time with her family, enjoys good food and hikes in the woods.
