The ATHENA Leadership Award of Henderson County celebrates an exemplary leader in our community who has achieved excellence in their business or profession, served the community in a meaningful way, and, most importantly, actively assisted women to achieve their full leadership potential.

Nominees may be male or female but must work or reside in Henderson County. The recipient will be announced at the Business & Professional Women's Luncheon in May.

Nominations are due by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 1. Nomination tips include:

• All of the judges are from outside of our community, please focus on telling your nominee's story, in detail.
• Include testimonials from individuals who have been impacted by the work of your nominee.
• Please Include a hi-res photo (300dpi) JPEG of your nominee for our event marketing.
• While you may want the nomination to be a surprise, consider interviewing your nominee and working together on the nomination. This will allow you to present the full-scope of their work.
