The 2022 Metro Economy Outlook is approaching

The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2022 Metro Economy Outlook on Tuesday, December 13. Analyst, economist, and thought-leader Dr. Chris Kuehl will share a very current look at the U.S. economy to keep you in the know.

The Metro Economy Outlook will take place at the Omni Grove Park Inn, located at 290 Macon Avenue inside the Heritage Ballroom. The Chamber will provide lunch to attendees, and Grove Park Inn parking is complementary for this event.

Kuehl will discuss where the current economy stands and trends to watch heading into 2023, and will leave our business community better-informed with insights and expertise as we head into the new year. He is widely regarded for his insightful and engaging economic forecasts, bringing humor, pragmatism and real-world anecdotes to audiences around the world.  As Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence, he provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients and associations. He is the chief economist for several national and international organizations – Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, Finance, Credit and International Business and the Business Information Industry Association. He is also the economic analyst for several state accounting societies – Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Kansas.

Prior to starting Armada in 1999, Kuehl was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years – teaching in the US, Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore and Taiwan. He holds advanced degrees in economics, Soviet studies and East Asian studies.

Kuehl is the author of Business Intelligence Briefs and Executive Intelligence Briefs – both publications from Armada. He is also responsible for the Credit Manager’s Index from NACM and Fabrinomics from the FMA.
