Nov 29, 2022 12:58PM ● By WNC Business
The Creekside Crossing Commerce Center is a PropertyWorks multipurpose real estate development project which begins with a Loves Travel Stop and will eventually include a variety of hotel, restaurant, housing and other retail establishments. Plans also include the possibility of a state-of-the-art Rutherford County Welcome Center and other amenities serving a growing population and travelers on the strategic Highway 74.
With the prospect of an interstate designation and completion of the Shelby bypass and other road construction underway, the 85 acres for Creekside Crossing Commerce Center will be a staging area for regional growth.
Municipal leadership, economic development agencies, private agencies, and the NCDOT have come together through strong, collaborative efforts in ways which portend success for the days ahead.

Butch Maltby serves as a strategic advisor to the project and said, “As founder and president of PropertyWorks, Josh Farmer has presented a compelling vision to key stakeholders in Rutherford County who have gotten behind this bold plan 100 percent
. It’s a blessing to see various entities come to the table and offer their energy and resources to build a positive future for all our citizens.”
PropertyWorks is a division of FreightWorks which is an asset based transportation and logistics company serving the trucking needs of customers coast to coast.
