The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce recognized Hulsey Media and its owner, Brett Hulsey, as multi-time recipients of the Growth Award. 

In 2014, Hulsey took a leap of faith by founding Hulsey Media in Hendersonville, marking the beginning of a journey that would expand the publishing industry in the WNC region. Drawing upon his extensive career in publishing, Hulsey set out to create a publishing operation that would not only inform but also inspire and connect our community. What began as the Hendersonville Magazine publication has since evolved into a well-oiled publishing and distribution machine, boasting a portfolio that includes a diverse array of publications such as WNC Business, Hendersonville Magazine, and Aging Resources, among others. 

Despite the challenges of the ever-evolving media landscape, Brett's expanding publishing empire has experienced consistent growth in both revenue and employment year after year. Over the past three years alone, the company has achieved an impressive 8% revenue growth in 2021, followed by another 8% increase in 2022, and a remarkable 14% surge in 2023. This growth trajectory is mirrored in the company's employment figures, which have risen from four to seven employees over the same period. 

The success of Hulsey Media can be attributed not only to their dedication to quality content, but also to their deep-rooted involvement in the community. Through targeted magazine distribution, direct mail, and digital marketing, they have demonstrated unparalleled flexibility in assisting clients in reaching desirable audiences, thereby solidifying their position as industry leaders.
