ananda hair studio north features sixteen stations for stylists, and artwork, furniture and fixtures by local artists Jeremy Russell, David Humphrey, and Victor Chiarizia. Additionally, they have partnered with several local businesses to serve and/or use their products, including Pennycup coffee, Asheville Tea Company, and East Fork Pottery.

A grand opening celebration is planned for Thursday evening, May 30.

About ananda hair studio: ananda hair studio first opened on Broadway in downtown Asheville in 1995. Founder Larry Hopkins’ goal was to create a space for hair artists to harness their strengths and do great hair while also giving back to the community. He felt it was important for stylists to be around other artists to feed off the area’s creative energy, and he and business partner Tena Friddell feel that way to this day. Following the success of the downtown studio, ananda opened a second location in 2013, ananda hair studio west, in the heart of Asheville’s River Arts District.
