Burkhalter joined the Colton Groome team in 2024. He brings a varied and international background to his work as a financial advisor.

Both in the US and in Germany, Burkhalter has used his business administration degree in his various roles in sales, IT consulting, mortgage financing, and pharmaceutical specialty sales. In all of his previous jobs, he had a strong interest in investments, retirement planning, and financial goal setting. Shortly after COVID began, he decided to make a career of it. He enjoys working alongside his clients to develop financial strategies specific to their objectives and lifestyles, and helping clients realize that their goals are within reach.

When he’s not at work, Todd is an avid traveler, triathlete, and reader. He and his wife run a small family farm in Weaverville, where they raise chickens, goats, dogs, and their son, Ben. They are grateful to be active members of the greater Asheville community, where Todd served as chair of the Woodfin YMCA for six years, along with volunteering for Manna Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. He is an Asheville Symphony guild member and is involved in the Mars Hill Rotary.
