HENDERSONVILLE – AdventHealth announced Josh Darling, MSN, RN has been named the new Director of the Emergency Department at AdventHealth Hendersonville. Darling has been an integral member of the Emergency Department at AdventHealth Hendersonville for more than two years, and most recently he served as the Emergency Department Nurse Manager. He has a passion for leadership and providing patients safe, high-quality, whole-person care. 

Darling earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Memphis, Loewenberg College of Nursing in Memphis, TN and continued on to complete his master’s degree in nursing from there as well. While working as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department, Darling shared his interest in expanding his leadership skills at AdventHealth. AdventHealth Hendersonville has been excited to support his leadership growth over the last two years through its Team Member Promise. Darling is one of the latest team members to see success through the Lighted Career Path promise.

“From day one, I have not only felt supported, but have truly been supported by ED and hospital leadership both past and present,” Darling said. “While I love bedside care, I have found leadership to be incredibly rewarding. The most inspiring and fulfilling aspect of this leadership position involves empowering and leading the emergency department team.”

Darling is excited to be starting in his new leadership position at AdventHealth Hendersonville. “I am beyond grateful for the opportunities both past and present and look forward to continuing my professional development within AdventHealth,” Darling shared. “I also am extremely excited to support the emergency department team and AdventHealth Hendersonville as a whole as we continue to grow and extend the healing ministry of Christ throughout Western North Carolina.”
