AdventHealth Hendersonville again earns Top Grade for Patient Safety

HENDERSONVILLE – AdventHeatlh Hendersonville has earned its 15th consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
“This national honor shows our team’s unwavering commitment to keep patients safe in every aspect of the whole-person care we provide families across our region,” said Brandon Nudd, FACHE, president and CEO of AdventHealth Hendersonville. “I am proud of this team’s hard work. They not only maintained this “A” Hospital Safety Grade, but their dedication to our patients increased our numerical score from the 2023 Spring Grade and year-over-year from our 2022 Fall “A” grade.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day nationally. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually in the fall and spring.
