HENDERSONVILLE – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Sarah Ducker, MSN, FNP-C, AOCNP to its team of providers at AdventHealth Cancer Services Haywood*. Ducker is board-certified as both an Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about providing quality care and developing meaningful relationships with patients. 

Ducker earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. She continued on to receive a Post-Graduate Certificate with a concentration in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Emory University in Atlanta.

As a native of WNC, Ducker is excited to be able to care for our local community. AdventHealth’s commitment to whole-person care matches her own philosophy of quality, patient-centered care. Her approach to health care centers around individualized patient care.

“In my role as a nurse practitioner, I make communication a priority,” Ducker says. “I help patients feel whole by taking the time to learn about who someone is as an individual, not just focusing on a current medical issue. I believe this is essential to providing excellent care.”

Haywood County,” Ducker shares. “It is my goal in my career to make a positive impact on others. Working in health care allows me to work together with others to help those in my community.”

Ducker and her husband have two dogs and a horse named “Jazzy.” Her whole-person mindset translates to her personal life as well, where she enjoys spending time outdoors, quality time with friends and family, and staying physically active.
