HENDERSONVILLE – AdventHealth Hendersonville announces the newest recipient of its Sunshine Award. Sherry Fox is part of the Environmental Services Department at AdventHealth Hendersonville.

Sherry earned the award because of her dedication to going above and beyond to make sure patients are comfortable and their rooms are clean. She extends the healing ministry of Christ with her positive and uplifting interactions with patients and team members. 

A recent patient nominated Sherry for the award. She says, “She (Sherry) was so wonderful. Our room was clean, and we enjoyed her positive energy and friendly conversation. As I walked the halls for my exercise, I could hear her bringing the same sunshine and cheer to other patients. I can tell her work is not just a job; she truly cares about others!”

“We couldn’t agree more,” shares Maureen Dzialo, MS, RN, Chief Nursing Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “Sherry’s compassion for everyone shows in all she does to support the whole-person care for patients in our hospital. It is our privilege to recognize Sherry with the Sunshine Award.”

AdventHealth Nursing Leadership created the Sunshine Award to recognize ancillary team members who strive for excellence in their profession, consistently deliver exceptional care, uphold the highest standards and collaborate with the AdventHealth nursing teams to enhance the experience of our patients, family members and guests while Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

AdventHealth ancillary departments include respiratory services, imaging, laboratory services, nutritional services, engineering, security and bio-med.
